Who we are
StackWise Solutions ("StackWise", "we", "us", "our") is a digital agency operating in Australia. This policy explains how we handle personal information when you visit this website, enquire about our services, or engage us for work. We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. By using this website you agree to the practices described here.
What we collect
We collect information you give us directly through our contact forms, by email, phone or WhatsApp — typically your name, email address, phone number, company name and whatever you tell us about your project. If you become a client we also collect what is needed to deliver and invoice the work, which may include billing details and access credentials for your systems. Separately, our website and analytics tools collect technical information automatically: IP address, browser and device type, referring page, pages viewed and time on site.
Why we collect it
We use your information to respond to your enquiry, book and run strategy calls, prepare proposals, deliver and support the services you engage us for, issue invoices, and meet our legal and record-keeping obligations. Where you have opted in, we may also send occasional updates about our services. Aggregated analytics data helps us understand how the site is used and improve it. We do not use your information for automated decision-making or profiling.
Consent and direct marketing
We only send marketing email where we have your consent, or where consent can reasonably be inferred under the Spam Act 2003 (Cth). Every marketing message identifies us clearly and includes a working unsubscribe link, and we action unsubscribe requests promptly. Enquiring about our services does not automatically subscribe you to marketing — you can ask us to stop contacting you at any time by replying to any message.
Cookies and analytics
This site uses cookies and similar technologies. Essential cookies remember your theme preference and keep the site working. Google Analytics 4 sets analytics cookies that tell us how visitors find the site and move through it — which pages get read and where enquiries come from. Google Analytics does not store your full IP address, and we do not use it to work out who you are. Where Microsoft Clarity is enabled it may record anonymised session replays and heatmaps. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install Google’s opt-out browser add-on, though some parts of the site may not work as intended.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us operate: our email and hosting providers, our CRM, and our analytics providers. These providers process information on our behalf under their own privacy obligations. We may also disclose information where required by Australian law, or to establish or defend a legal claim. We do not disclose your information to any other third party without your consent.
Overseas disclosure
Some of our providers store or process data outside Australia, including in the United States and the European Union. Where personal information is disclosed overseas we take reasonable steps to ensure it is handled consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles. If you would prefer your project data to be stored in Australia, tell us before we begin — for client projects we can host in Australian regions on request.
How we protect it
We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. These include encrypted connections across the site, access controls on our systems, and limiting access to the people who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a data breach occurs that is likely to result in serious harm, we will notify you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner as required by the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.
How long we keep it
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes described above, or as long as the law requires — including tax and financial records, which we generally retain for seven years. Enquiries that do not become projects are deleted or anonymised once they are no longer commercially relevant. You can ask us to delete your information sooner and we will do so unless we are legally required to keep it.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it is wrong or out of date, ask us to delete it, or withdraw consent to marketing at any time. Email info@stackwisesolutions.com and we will respond within a reasonable period, normally within 30 days. We do not charge for access requests in ordinary circumstances, and we may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
Third-party links and embedded content
Our website links to third-party sites, including our social media profiles and the platforms we work with. Our contact page also embeds a Google Map showing our registered business address; when that map loads, Google may set cookies and receive your IP address under its own privacy policy, and it loads only when you scroll to it. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites, and we encourage you to read the privacy policy of any site you visit from ours.
Children
Our services are aimed at businesses and are not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or the law. The current version is always published on this page with the date it was last updated. Where changes are significant we will take reasonable steps to notify you.
